On Scribd, you can quickly and easily turn nearly any file — including PDF, Word, PowerPoint and Excel — into a Web document and share it with the world.

Pikaba

Pikaba is a new classifieds site that uses people’s requests as a core feature of its search capabilities. Instead of simply searching for items you’d like on Pikaba, you can submit a request for an item you’re looking for and take the wait-and-see approach.

“Best Tech Videos” is a user driven social content website dedicated to finding the best educational videos for developers, designers, managers and other people in IT. If you are professional developer, you can find here new videos from recent conferences, interviews with famous people in IT, and much more.

PodcastPeople

2006 year
Ruby on Rails, MySQL, ffmpeg/mencoder, Amazon S3, Sphinx

The general idea of the service is podcasting. Every user of the system allowed to create his own show with his own brand, and publish content (podcasts, screencasts, blog entries). There is sponsors support implemented (their advertisements would be rotated on show pages). Access to the system granted on subscription base.

Nuzizo

2006 year
ASP.NET, MSSQL

Nuzizo is a self-evolving social network based on a set of uniquely structured neighborhoods within a virtual city. The original concept is in its infancy and is sure to expand as its citizens raise their voice.
